Great Item

About me: Parent
Number of Children: 1
Child Age: 3 - 6 months
I bought the WonderBug for our five month old daughter because it's reasonably priced and not as large as comparable items and space is an issue for us.
She's a bit small for it but a couple of well positioned blankets do the trick and she spends considerable time playing in it.
It was very simple to put together and our baby enjoys all the toys very much. Our daughter spits up quite a bit and the WonderBug is easy to clean. It's also light and small so it can be easily moved around the home if necessary.
Pros: Holds Baby's Attention, VisuallyStimulating, Stable, Easy To Assemble, Easy To Clean

Better than Baby Einstein's Exersaucers!

About me: Parent
Number of Children: 2
Child Age: 18 - 24 months
We sold our exersaucer before we moved, so I knew I eventually needed a new entertainer for the new baby due this fall. There are so many choices in activity centers but I was sold on a cute little bug named Wally. Besides the cute little "face" on Wally, what made this activity center stand out from the competition for me? Aside from the fact that both of my kids (18 month old and the 4 year old) love to play with it (they love that the overall design is a bug), I'll tell you!
*To tell you the truth, exersaucers have never been my favorite. With their rounded bottoms, they tip so much that they frighten me. Kolcraft's Wally the WonderBug is sturdy and does not tip. How do I know that it is so sturdy? Unfortunately, my 18 month old is old enough to climb in by herself (though not out yet) and it has never even budged an inch when she does.
It's not sensory overload like other activity centers/exersaucers. It has just enough toys (8 to be exact) to happily stimulate babies of 4 months+ (and apparently 18 month olds and 4 year olds) and help them develop basic motor skills with texture, vivid colors, sounds and lights. Only one toy (the WonderWorm) lights up, talks and plays music, which is perfectly enough! A few of the other toys include a batting butterfly with crinkle wings and mirror, a twisting/turning bee and a rattle with textured handles.
*It's easier for babies to spin (a full 360) in their seats than most activity centers.
*All of the toys are easily reachable and removable (for cleaning).
*It's extremely easy easy to put together. In fact, I did it just by looking at the picture on the box and had my 4 year old help. He could snap the pieces into place all by himself - it's that easy!
*It's easier to move about the house than our old exersaucer.
My Favorite Feature: Stability!
Pros: Holds Baby's Attention, Stable, Easy To Assemble

Best Activity Center!

Date:April 7, 2011

I searched around A LOT for the best activity center for my daughter Rowan. I found that most of them had terrible toys on them. They were stationary and she would not have been able to bend them toward her mouth or would have just been bored by them. Then I found the Wonderbug. It has an awesome selection of toys. Fun sounds, textures, and lots of choices for her. She loves it!! It is the only toy that we have that will keep her attention. She spins her self all around going from toy to toy. I would highly recommend this!

Wonderful Entertainment Center!

We love this bright, colorful entertainment center! This well constructed entertainment center is very sturdy and easy to use. The variety of toys that rattle, flash lights and play music keep baby's attention. The seat is easily adjusted for the height of baby's legs. I love the fact that the seat spins a complete 360 for baby to play with all the toys and can be removed for washing. Very happy with the Wally Wonderbug!
My Favorite Feature: Easily breaks down for storage or transporting to grandma's house!

We chose Wally because it seemed to have just enough toys to let our daughter have fun, but not too much to over stimulate her. It's easy enough to put together with all the pieces snapping in place with little effort which means she was playing in it almost as soon as we got it! The only confusion came when trying to figure out the proper seat height, since the directions are a bit confusing about the optimal height. However, the seat was easy enough to adjust and we soon figured out what seemed right in terms of seat height. It's been two months now and she still loves playing in Wally and stamping her feet about.
My Favorite Feature: Allows independent play time for our daughter.
Pros: easy to put together
Cons: directions for seat height are a bit confusing

Wally is my extra set of hands!

As soon as my husband put this together, he said 'I already like this one better [than our other one]'. We have almost 5 month old twins and this is perfect for them! I like how they are nicely supported in the seat- which spins so that they can see and reach all of the toys. I also like how each toy is different, and there is one with the music and lights feature. You don't need them all to be blaring/beeping/singing to you- just one is great!
I like the height of Wally as well- with the adjustable seat my little ones will get much use out of this. Overall, we love it. Even my 2 year old toddler is having a good time exploring the different toys that Wally has. He spins my boys in the seat to reach them all- it's pretty cute. You can see his arm in the pic.
My Favorite Feature: The adjustable size with the seat, 360 degree seat
Pros: 360 feature, adjustible seat, bright easy to reach toys, stationary legs

We LOVE our Wally the Wonderbug

Our daughter absolutely LOVES Wally the Wonderbug! In shopping for a "walker alternative," we researched the Evenflo, the Chicco (we love their car seat), and the Kolcraft activity centers. I don't know if it was the smiling face that enticed us to try out the Kolcraft but, we have been thrilled with our (seven month old) daughter's reaction to Wally. For my wife and I, it's really all about whether the activity center captures her attention through the variety of developmental toys available on the console. Our daughter spends tons of time playing with the antennae, grabbing the ball, and pressing the worm that plays music and lights up. Every activity has complementary sounds and she becomes completely absorbed within her surroundings. The ultimate test for us was heading out to my in-laws and putting her in the Evenflo center that they have at their house. As a guy (a somewhat unobservant one at that), I noticed that there weren't as many interactive options for her and she wasn't as involved in the center. For us, that sealed the deal.
My Favorite Feature: Our daughter LOVES the antennae
Pros: interactive, safe alternative to walkers, entertaining, stores well

Learning Fun for my 7 month old

Date:January 5, 2011
Ebmommy
About me: Parent
Number of Children: 2
Child Age: 6 - 9 months
My 7 month old loves every bit of Wally's solid red frame and big "Love Me" eyes, the crinkly winged rolling ball Butterfly rattle, the ((Shake Shake Shake)) antennae and his tiny friend WonderWorm who comes complete with music, sounds and glowing lights.
Note: You will need 2 AA batteries to get WonderWorm to entertain.
(Note: We left the batteries out initially to allow my son to explore the Center minus the additional sounds and lights and then introduced him to WonderWorm. I found that this encouraged him to find fun ways to play with the toys that didn't necessarily entertain with songs or lights)
My Favorite Feature: The 360 degree spin around feature
Pros: independence to spin around 360 degrees to play, toys that have been designed to encourage teaching, great way to keep our little one busy (and safe), seat pad is machine washable height adjustable
Cons: took me a little time to lock the toys into place, took a while to get the seat pad over the ring
