After Aiden outgrew his bassinets (we had 2) I sold them both in our garage sale knowing that we would be having more babies because I just didn't like them. I wanted one that looked nice and had great functionality too. The Kolcraft Contours Classique 3 in 1 bassinet is all that and then some!
Let's start from the bottom up :) It has these wonderful baskets below it to keep your essentials organized and within reach. I love how stylish they are too. They are both removable and have nice fabric liners. I love the liners because you don't have to worry about your blankets getting snagged on the wicker.
They took organization one step further and provided this great deluxe storage organizer & diaper stacker on the end of the bassinet. I was able to fit my cloth diapers in it along with some hand sanitizer and lotion with 2 pockets still leftover for other essentials!
I love that the bassinet is spacious and not too small. Some of the bassinets I've tried are so tiny that the baby outgrows them before they really have to just because of their size. The pad is nice and cushy and it comes with a washable terry cloth fitted sheet which is really comfy for baby.
This bassinet is very dual purpose and multi-functional. You can easily pick up and remove the bassinet basket to use as a moses basket anywhere in your house. I love that you can take baby into another room with you without moving the entire bassinet. This provides baby with a safe place to sleep in a convenient manner. The handles make it easy to move around and the mesh side windows provide increased air flow.
Once your baby outgrows the bassinet (as mine has) you don't need to store it away, you can use it as a changing table! I love the dual purpose as your baby really only uses a bassinet for the first few months of their life and then you are left with a piece of baby gear to store that you no longer can use.
The changing table works wonderfully. It is a higher height than my previous changing table which means I don't have to bend over and strain my back at all. To use the changing table you simply remove the bassinet basket and clip the changing table to the top of the rails. It is conveniently stored underneath the bassinet basket and above the wicker baskets so you don't have to worry about where to store it when it isn't in use.
The surface of the changing table is wipeable which is a bonus. It is generously sized as you can see my little guy fits on there really well.
Pros: Beautiful design of wood and fabric, sturdy construction, on wheels for easy movement, dual purpose-converts from bassinet-moses basket-changing table.
Cons: I can't come up with anything I don't like about this bassinet. It is a great bassinet for every baby.
